Hello Moon

This photograph is taken only half an hour after my “Waving Goodbye to the Sun” picture. See the tiny speck of white in the sky? That’s the moon. I would have zoomed in, but then you wouldn’t have been able to see the mountains. As you are waving to the sun, you may look up and see the moon winking at you from the other direction. Some people find the moon disturbing, but I find it comforting. More so than the sun. The sun is dangerous. It could explode at any moment. The moon is just a harmless rock floating around us.

There is one main thing that I find comforting about both the sun and the moon. It’s that everyone in the world sees the same sun and the same moon. If a loved one is in another part of the world and you miss them, you can just look at the moon or sun, and think of them looking at the same thing.
